Reconstructed from the original drawings of a mill demolished a century ago, it does the job the Zaan region was built on: cutting logs into boards fast enough to supply a shipbuilding industry. The millers on duty tend to talk you through the mechanism whether or not you asked, which is the reason to come. Level access makes it the practical choice for anyone who cannot manage the ladder stairs elsewhere in the village.
