EES at Dutch borders
The EU Entry/Exit System records non-EU travelers entering and leaving the Schengen Area. At Schiphol and other external borders, you may be asked to register passport data, a facial image and fingerprints.
ETIAS timing
ETIAS is not a visa. It is a travel authorisation for visa-exempt travelers and is expected in the last quarter of 2026. Check official EU and Dutch government pages before you fly because start dates can move.
