A late-Gothic hall church whose Müller organ has been played by Mozart, Handel and most organists since.
The building dominates the square so completely that Haarlem's centre is really just the ground around it, and the interior is worth the ticket for the ship models hanging in the nave alone. The Christian Müller organ of 1738 is the reason organists make the trip: sixty stops, thirty-two-foot pipes in the front, and a young Mozart on the bench in 1766. Free recitals run in summer and are the best way to hear the thing properly.
