The home of the family who hid Jews above their shop until they were betrayed in 1944, kept as it was.
The hiding place is a brick's depth of space behind a false wall in an upstairs bedroom, and standing in the room it is very hard to believe anyone survived in it — four people did, for two days, while the house was searched. The family did not: Corrie ten Boom's father and sister died in custody. Entry is by guided tour only, in English and Dutch, and the guides are volunteers who take the story seriously.
